Static Security Services
Forms and Functions
In these times of uncertainty and economic crises, it’s vital to protect your product, property and employees. To provide appropriate levels of protection, many companies turn to on-site security officers who actively monitor their properties.
A security officer’s first function is to protect lives and property. An officer does this by maintaining a high-visibility presence, which often deters illegal and inappropriate actions.
Each officer watches for signs of
crime, fire or other disorder (via patrols or closed-circuit TV) and then takes appropriate action by reporting incidents to their client and to
emergency services.
Security officers are usually stationed at security huts, security desks or inside vehicles, depending on the type of service required. Their duties can include:
- Closed-circuit TV monitoring
- Reception duties
- Access control
- Parcel checks
- Interior/exterior patrol
- Monthly safety audits
- Alarm response
